Of the four teams remaining in the 2018 FIFA World Cup, France is deemed to have the best chance to win the tournament by the statisticians at FiveThirtyEight. Les Bleus’ slight edge is due in no small part to the contributions of defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante.
ONE-MAN AWARDS SHOW
Other than the fact that he once played on the same FIFA 17 team as famed gamer KSI, how much do you really know about Kante?
I'm really proud for such a honour! It's so amazing. But as I always said, it's a team work and today with this trophy, I just want to thank my teammates, all the @chelseafc and all the fans.
Last year, Kante was something of a one-man awards show. He was named the Professional Footballers Association Player of the Year, FWA Footballer of the Year, and Premier League Player of the Season, while becoming the first player since Eric Cantona in 1993 to win back‑to-back top-flight titles in England with two different clubs.
N’GOLO KANTE FACTS
Kante’s tireless work ethic and boundless energy on the pitch have led to a Twitter meme known as #KanteFacts, parodying his preternatural ability to be everywhere at once — both on the field, and off.
Surely nobody is surprised N'Golo Kante is the PFA Player of the Year? He intercepts EVERYTHING 😂 pic.twitter.com/QitbbOuZXs
