In our #TattooTuesday series we scour fandom to highlight the most-impressive tattoos celebrating a particular team from one of the big-five sports — basketball, baseball, football, hockey and soccer.

Tattoo Tuesday highlights best fan ink from the sports world

Few acts show one’s commitment to a particular sports team as getting a tattoo of their logo or one of the franchise’s star players. This week we head to the cosmopolitan capital of Ontario to look at the best-of-the-best Raptors fans’ ink from Toronto and beyond.

TORONTO RAPTORS TATTOOS

In the above video, an ardent Toronto fan from Thunder Bay shows off her raptor’s claw tat on her calf. What follows are some of best Raptors-themed tattoos proving each recipient’s diehard allegiance to Canada’s lone NBA team.

VINSANITY IN TORONTO

No player in Raptors history flew higher, longer than Vince Carter, and the fan sporting this tattoo won’t soon forget.

INTERSECTION OF HUMBLE AND LOYALTY

DeMar DeRozan embraced everything Toronto during a 9-year stint with the Raptors which saw him become the franchise’s all-time leading scorer, and fans loved him for it

ROCK ‘N’ RAPTOR

Some tattoos eschew cuteness to portray an uber-realistic raptor with the “rock” in his claws.

CNN TOWER RAPTORS TATTOOS

This under-progress tat imagines a giant basketball-wielding raptor climbing the CN Tower in King Kong-like fashion.

Here’s another tattoo pairing two of Toronto’s biggest icons.

WE THE NORTH

In 2014, the Raptors introduced “We the North” slogan, which was later updated to “North Over Everything” — still the former phrase lingers on… We still the North.

CUTE CLAWER

While some opt for ferocious-looking raptors, others take the cartoonish route for their tattoo, like the cute clawer pictured above.

CHAMPIONSHIP VIBES

Kawhi Leonard may have flown the coop after leading the Raptors to their first ever NBA title, but that didn’t keep the fan pictured above from commemorating The Claw’s locker room celebration with a photorealistic tattoo from the inimitable Steve Butcher.
