In our #TattooTuesday series we will be scouring fandom to highlight the most-impressive tattoos celebrating a particular team from one of the big-five sports — hockey, basketball, baseball, football and soccer.

Tattoo Tuesday highlights best fan ink from the sports world

Few acts show one’s commitment to a particular sports team as getting a tattoo of their logo or one of the franchise’s star players. This week we head to California to look at the best-of-the-best San Jose Sharks fans’ ink from the Bay Area and beyond.

SAN JOSE SHARKS TATTOOS

Early in the 2018-19 season, San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane discussed the meaning behind his tattoos and tried to recognize current and former NHL players based off pictures of their ink during Tattoo Trivia. Unlike the designs featured in the above video, what follows are some of best tattoos explicitly showing the recipient’s diehard allegiance to the San Jose Sharks.

REALISTIC GREAT WHITE

While San Jose’s logo features a stylized shark, this fan when for the uber-realistic look in getting this Great White rendered on his forearm.

BAY AREA BITERS

This Sharks tattoo has a whole California-theme going on, with the state’s outline, Golden Gate Bridge and a ’63 Chevy Impala convertible complementing San Jose’s signature predator.

SHARKS LOGO

Sharks fan Anastasia had tattooist Mosa Fotu execute his signature Pacific-island influenced art for her Sharks logo.

MARVEL-OUS SHARK

This colorful inking from Patrick Bostic Tattoos in San Jose, creates a Shark-Man that looks like it was ripped from the pages of a Marvel comic.

SKELETAL GOALIE

Lastly, Henry Wyatt from Inkies Tattoo Studio in Fremont takes the cake with this skull ensconced in a highly-detailed goalie’s helmet.
