Skateboarder Bob Burnquist, nursing a broken left arm, reclaimed the top spot on the podium in X-Games Big Air after being edged out last year by young gun Tom Schaar. With the victory, Burnquist upped his record for the most career X Games medals to twenty-eight.

GOLD MEDAL: BOB BURNQUIST

Burnquist trains regularly on his backyard mega-ramp, and as the adage goes: practice makes perfect. In Austin, the 38-year-old Brazilian landed a switch 540 over the 63-feet gap into an Indy 700 landing fakie on the 27-feet high quarterpipe to post the top score of 93.33.
