Tattoo Tuesday highlights best fan ink from the sports world

Few acts show one’s commitment to a particular sports team as getting a tattoo of their logo or one of the franchise’s star players. This week we head to New England to look at the best-of-the-best Red Sox fans’ ink from Boston and beyond.

BOSTON RED SOX TATTOOS

In 2014, Jonny Gomes tattooed Red Sox fans at the MLB Fan Cave. What follows are some of best tattoos proving each recipient’s diehard allegiance to the BoSox.

WORLD SERIES CHAMPS

In this timeless tat, Jason Varitek and Keith Foulke celebrate after recording the final out of the Boston Red Sox’ 2004 World Series championship over the St. Louis Cardinals.

RED SOX PINUP TATTOO

Nothing says tattoo like a pinup girl. This leggy Red Sox pitcher would undoubtedly rack up Ks by distracting batters with her non-traditional uniform.

HOMER SIMPSON

Despite The Simpsons being set in Springfield, Oregon, the above tattoo features a Spanish-speaking Homer wearing Red Sox garb and quoting legendary Yankee Yogi Berra — “It ain’t over, till it’s over.”

ANGRY RED SOX

How about a tattoo of an angry bat-wielding Red Sox red sock? Imagine having to pull on a pair of these menacing bad boys in the morning.

Skulls donning sports caps are a popular motif in tattoos, but few are as macabre as this haunting Red Sox offering.

BRUCE THE MOOSE

The fabled Boston Red Sox moose was brilliantly crafted by The Human Condition Arts and Tattoo on this true believer’s calf. Outstanding!

GREEN MONSTER TATTOO

No collection of Red Sox tattoos would be complete without one of Fenway Park’s iconic Big Green Monster and David Ortiz.
