Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe go three rounds debating the latest sports headlines with our in-house judges scoring them blow-by-blow.

RND 1: COWBOYS HAVE NO EXCUSES

Dak Prescott and Micah Parsons will look to lead the Dallas Cowboys to back-to-back NFC East crowns for the first time since 1996. Even after losing future Hall of Fame left tackle Tyron Smith to an injury that will keep him sidelined until December, Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist Clarence Hill wrote the Cowboys have no excuses with Dak and a dominant defense heading into 2022. Shannon and Skip talk Dallas Cowboys.

Skip loses the first round almost as soon as it begins, as he concedes he agrees one-hundred percent with all of Shannon’s points.

RND 2: LAKERS POST LEBRON HYPE VIDEO

LeBron James is fresh off signing an extension to stay with the Los Angeles Lakers and got fans excited with a hype video. The Lakers tweeted a video of LeBron putting in work in the gym during a workout session as he heads into Year 20. The King quoted the tweet using the hour-glass and crown emojis. Skip and Shannon share whether they believe LeBron has been ‘in the lab’ more than ever this offseason.

Skip has trouble divorcing himself from his LeBron James obsession in any conversation regarding the Lakers and drops the round.

RND 3: OBJ OPEN TO GIANTS REUNION

Baker Mayfield will get some playing time tonight in the Carolina Panthers final preseason game. Mike Jones of USA Today listed the Panthers as the team that could have a surprise surge this season. Madden’s simulation of the season also has faith in the Panthers with them making the playoffs as a Wild Card team in the NFC. Skip and Shannon answer if the Panthers will make the playoffs.
