Hall-of-fame outfielder Willie Mays spent twenty-one seasons in a Giants uniform — six in New York and fifteen in San Francisco — and leads the franchise’s all-time roster determined by Wins Above Replacement by a huge margin, despite missing a year in his prime to serve in the military.
SF GIANTS ALL-TIME ROSTER
Mays amassed a whopping career WAR of 154.6 with the Giants, including 646 home runs for the club. The other biggest contributions on the Giants all-time roster come from outfielders Barry Bonds (112.3) and Mel Ott (107.8). With the exception of Willie McCovey, the infield corp is comprised of stars from the turn of the last century.
