A skimboard is a small, finless surfboard designed to skim the shallow water where the ocean tide washes over the beach. They were first used by Laguna Beach lifeguards as a convenient conveyance. But the times, they are a changin’.


Brad Domke, and a handful of other pro surfers, have ventured further and further from the beach on their skimboards to “skurf” ever-larger waves.
