Most superheroes transform in private to keep their everyday identities secret, but not 10-year-old cricket fan Mitchell Schibeci. In plain view at a 2016 Big Bash League match at Melbourne Cricket Grounds, Mitchell metamorphosed into Watermelon Boy when he ate one of the massive fruits — rind, seeds and all.
Mitchell’s rapacious appetite ended up garnering more attention than the cricket match itself.

WATERMELON BOY ON STUDIO 10
Invited on Australia’s Studio 10 talk show, Mitchell’s older brother explained that no watermelon is safe when his now-famous sibling is around.
MARLON WEBB: WATERMELON MAN
If Mitchell has earned the moniker Watermelon Boy, then Marlon Webb is certainly deserving of the title Watermelon Man. His frenetic fruit-centric video snippets racked up millions of views on erstwhile Vine.
