As Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi are to tennis, Sydney Leroux and Dom Dwyer are to soccer. Their marriage earlier this year sealed their status as the sport’s undisputed power couple. Major League Soccer recently produced a short video looking at how the striking pair manage their celebrity status and frequent time apart.

One thing was made abundantly clear long before Leroux and Dwyer wed: the two make excellent human Christmas gifts when decked out in holiday gear.

PITCH PERFECTION

Leroux has been busy this summer helping the USWNT reach the quarterfinals of the Women’s World Cup. Just the fact that she is playing for Team USA is something of a personal victory for the Canadian-born beauty.

DOM-INATION

Meanwhile, English-born husband Dwyer has been keeping Sporting Kansas City in playoff contention in MLS’s competitive Western Conference. They currently sit in fifth place, after their seven-match unbeaten string came to an end Sunday on an own-goal in stoppage time against rival Real Salt Lake.

Last season, Dwyer finished second in MLS in goals scored with twenty-two. This year he’s found the back of the net five times in thirteen games.
