Normally, if a moose hopped a fence into a crowd of people it would be result in disaster, but last night it amounted to yet another amazing defensive play for the Royals. The moose in question was Mike “Mouse” Moustakas, and the fence was along the third base line at Kauffman Stadium.

''I was trying to find the fence, and I saw it was going to be a little out of my reach, so I crawled over and reached and caught it, and the people in dugout suite picked me up and kind of helped me.”
— Mike Moustakas, on foul catch

If the San Francisco Giants can manage to get by the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League Championship Series, it will pit Moustakas against the postseason’s other fancy fence flipper in the person of Pablo Sandoval, aka Kung Fu Panda.
