The 2020 XFL season is officially underway, with eight teams vying for the championship including the St. Louis Battlehawks, whose name conjures an aviary military unit comprised of sword-wielding raptors.

OFF AND RUNNING

Each XFL team was allocated a “tier-1” quarterback before the draft, then filled out their roster from a pool of more than 1,000 players.

Led by former Ole Miss quarterback Jordan Ta’amu, the Battlehawks opened the season with a gutsy 15-9 road win at the Dallas Renegades. Next up they travel to Houston to face the Roughnecks on February 16.

ST LOUIS BATTLEHAWKS TOP DRAFT PICKS

The XFL Draft, which was held in October of last year, proceeded in phases, delineated by position. The Battlehawks top pick during Phase 1: Skill Players was running back Christine Michael (Texas A&M). For their Phase 2: Offensive Line selection they snatched up tackle Matt McCants (UAB). Their first pick in Phase 3: Defensive Front Seven was tackle Casey Sayles (Ohio). And finally, the Battlehawks top pick in Phase 4: Defensive Backs was safety Herb Miller (Florida Atlantic).

How many players can you name on the XFL team that call the Gateway City home? Without further delay, here is the complete 2020 roster for the St. Louis Battlehawks ordered by uniform number…
