The XFL returned in 2020, bigger, bolder and better than ever, only to have its already short season cut short due to the coronavirus outbreak. To review the contours of the latest incarnation of Vince McMahon’s winter football league, newbies may need a bit of a crash course.

Halfway through what was scheduled to be a 10-game season, only the Houston Roughnecks remained undefeated with five wins to their credit. On the flip side, both the Tampa Bay Vipers and Seattle Dragons stood at 1-4

Only seven more weeks to go before the playoffs… which teams will make the cut? The Houston Roughnecks sit atop the XFL East standings as the lone undefeated team at 4-0, while the St. Louis Battlehawks reign supreme in the XFL West at 3-1.

The DC Defenders, St. Louis Battlehawks and New York Guardians were knotted in a three-way tie for first in the XFL East at 3-2 each, while Dallas Renegades and LA Wildcats were sandwiched in the middle of the the XFL West standings.
