Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman had himself an excellent Super Bowl with nine catches for 109 yards and a touchdown, but no MVP award. However, in the weeks since the game, he’s put together a media-blitz that puts even Gronk to shame. If there was a post-Super Bowl MVP award, Edelman would win it hands down.
SHOUT OUT TO POPS
Edelman kicked off his public appearances with a tear-inducing press conference while still in uniform.
''My dad was just a little trailer-trash white dude, that worked his tail off. Didn't have a dad. Started working at fourteen, didn't get to play sports. He dedicated his life to his kids.”
— Julian Edelman, commenting on his father
WE GOT EACH OTHER
Not one to rest on his laurels, Edelman slapped together a video parody shortly after the big game in commemoration of the Patriots’ championship season. Based on the opening credits to the late-80s sitcom Growing Pains, Edelman’s tribute has Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady taking Alan Thicke’s place at the head of the family.
Wait, wait, wait. Robin Thicke's dad is Alan Thicke? The Growing Pains dad? Am I the last one to realize this?? pic.twitter.com/3Phi01o4rf

LIVE WITH KELLY AND MICHAEL
Edelman, sporting a trimmed beard, was feted with confetti when he appeared on LIVE with Kelly and Michael. Michael Strahan wanted the low down on Edelman’s evolving man growth, which the wide receiver deftly addressed. Then, pressed by Kelly, he gave further props to his pops and his unorthodox training techniques.
PATRIOTS NATION PITCH
Later that day, Edelman went on Late Night with Seth Meyers to try to convince the New Hampshirite host to switch allegiance from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Patriots Nation. He finished with an anecdote about how he wound up in Coach Bill Belichick’s doghouse for six years.
