In our #TattooTuesday series we scour fandom to highlight the most-impressive tattoos celebrating a particular team from one of the big-five sports — hockey, basketball, baseball, football and soccer.

Tattoo Tuesday highlights best fan ink from the sports world

Few acts show one’s commitment to a particular sports team as getting a tattoo of their logo or one of the franchise’s star players. This week we head north to look at the best-of-the-best Montreal Canadiens fans’ ink from Quebec and beyond.

MONTREAL CANADIENS TATTOOS

Jordie Benn has spent the last several seasons skating for the Habs, but still hasn’t committed to ink in honor of his employer. What follows are pictures of tattoos sported by some of the franchise’s most ardent supporters.

NHL TITLES TAT

While it has been 25 years since their last NHL title, the Canadiens have won a record 24 Stanley Cups, each of which is duly noted in the above tattoo.

HABS FANS ARE ANIMALS

Not all tattoos have to be serious, take this one for example which features the hard-rocking character Animal from The Muppet Show.

THE MOOSE IS LOOSE

Nothing says Montreal like a tattoo of the Habs logo splashed above a moose head.

When the zombie apocalypse commences, expect to see afflicted Habs fans going after Bruins brains.

TILL DEATH (AND BEYOND)

Once you’re a Habs’ fan, it’s a life-long thing — even if it means having your arm broken with your goalie glove still attached.

ROCKET RICHARD

No player defines the Canadiens like Maurice Richard. This Montreal-themed sleeve — still under construction at Studio Psychward — has Richard’s portrait in front of St Joseph’s Oratory.
