Fight fans largely got what they wanted over the first three rounds of last night’s title fight for the UFC’s newly-minted BMF belt at Madison Square Garden. Jorge Masvidal bloodied Nate Diaz, but the wounded warrior kept marching forward in the action-packed UFC 244 main event.

Alas, the fight was stopped prior to the fourth round as the ringside doctor deemed the cut above Diaz’ eye to be too severe for the fight to continue. Following Masvidal’s TKO win, MMA commentators and fellow UFC fighters — including Masvidal’s former friend turned foe Colby Covington — took to Twitter to weigh in on what had transpired.
