Global warming provided an unseasonably warm day at Pebble Beach and the perfect milieu for PGA Tour rookie Mark Hubbard to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Meghan McCurley. After posting a first-round 72 in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Hubbard dropped to one knee and produced an engagement ring.
You could say Mark Hubbard's girlfriend Meghan was pleasantly surprised about this proposal. #QuickHits

PUTT-PUTT PROPOSAL
Lest one is led to believe it takes a PGA Tour pro to make a splash on the green, a putt-putt player from Madison, Wisconsin, made a similar splash on the 9th hole of the Vitense Golfland miniature golf course.
WHEN MASCOTS PROPOSE
Lastly, if golf just isn’t your thing, you can always dress up as a Buccaneer to make your marriage pitch. Tennis coach Beau Summersill did just that to propose to Kimmy Purrazzella during halftime of a North Carolina high school basketball game between Laney and West Brunswick.
It’s unclear if the heavily-bearded Summersill more closely resebles a pirate with or without the mascot head.
