While his late-night talk show peers often pontificate on politics (see Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers and Stephen Colbert), Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon has has always preferred inventing frivolous new games to play… like Drop It In and Random Object Shootout.
STEPH CURRY VS DENZEL WASHINGTON
In the inaugural edition of Random Object Shootout — a basketball shooting contest using random objects — Fallon played against Oscar-winning actor Denzel Washington, who played college basketball for the Fordham Rams back in the day.
With the score tied at two apiece, Fallon called in sharpshooter Stephen Curry to take the last shot for him with a VHS copy of He Got Game taking the place of the basketball. Curry swished his practice shot with a squash, but missed the potential game winner with Washington and Fallon (inexplicably) playing defense.
RANDOM OBJECT SHOOTOUT
In the second edition of the game, Fallon teamed up with stars of the 2019 NBA Draft Darius Garland and RJ Barrett to compete against Coby White, Jaxson Hayes and De’Andre Hunter. Among the items to be shot at the basket were basketball shoes filled with nacho cheese.
Barrett got the scoring started for Team Fallon by banking in a mannequin head bedecked in a Knicks cap. Should New York fans be concerned?
