The six-foot-one outside hitter is married to fellow Brazilian volleyball player, Murilo Endres.

Carvalho is joined in the Instagram top ten by two other Brazilian players, Sheilla Castro and Fabiana Claudino — both of whom hail from Belo Horizonte. The only other country to place multiple players in the top ten is the United States.
